Program Description
Apps & AR Games Developers track introduces an extended edition of MobiSiTech+ track that was offered in 2020 and 2021 and reflected a huge success. Apps & AR Games Developers track introduces mobile app and web app development in addition to cybersecurity aspects and Robotics development with special focus on Augmented Reality (AR) in Game development industry in a high-level manner for all enthusiastic beginners and technology lovers. Students will be able to implement mobile applications and websites that can serve in various real-life sectors (e.g., educational, business, entertainment, and gaming ...etc). Furthermore, they can see how mobile apps interact with other software fields like IoT and ML and they will learn about various hacking techniques and how to defend systems against attacks. Moreover, they will be able to dive into entertainment world and learn how can applications be designed to reflect an exciting gaming context and how developers can program robots. By the end of this program, students will also understand the importance of data and how to keep it secured throughout the design and implementation phases. Throughout the program, students will be exposed to some technical and skills building workshops and will get the chance to discuss major related aspects with invited guest speakers in the field.

The main purpose of this track is teaching high school students the basics of programming in a fun and interactive environment to encourage them to convert any idea into real world application and serve their community using trendy technologies. During the program, the students will be trained on using many development IDEs and will be learning many languages to build mobile apps, ML apps, IoT systems, AR Games, Robotics, and web applications. It’s also designed to give a realistic overview of a Software Engineer student’s life. Moreover, the students get introduced to many discussions during the course time to help sharpen their knowledge into the technology sector. To achieve the success factors expected of this program, the students will be encouraged to participate in many fun competitions to learn necessary teamwork skills and will be able to present a project towards the end to enhance their speaking skills.

Eng. Hoda Elsayed holds a BSc and MSE degree in Software Engineering and is a certified Oracle Member and a registered professional educator at IBM institute. She is currently an instructor of Software Engineering with nearly 5 years of academic teaching experience at Alfaisal university, KSA. She is a member of QA committee and QA coordinator for SE department at Alfaisal and cofounding instructor of MobiSiTech+ and Apps & Games Developers tracks, launched by AUEP. She is the director of games innovation lab at Alfaisal University. Her research interests include big data analysis, machine learning, mobile development, and games implementations. She is an author of publications in academic journals and conferences and has been awarded by many entities for her research contribution.
