Weekly Plan

Week 1
Understanding the XR

This week focuses on introducing participants to the XR concept, exploring its applications across various industries, and understanding the foundational technologies that drive it.

Learning Objectives:

  • Grasp the basic concepts and significance of the XR.
  • Explore the application of XR in healthcare, entertainment, education, and engineering.
  • Understand key XR technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), artificial intelligence (AI), and Web3, and Blockchain
  • Participate in hands-on activities to experience these technologies and expand their particle experience with such technologies.
Week 2
Building in the XR

This week is dedicated to developing practical skills for creating in the XR, understanding design principles, and addressing ethical considerations.

Main Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn how to build in XR using tools like Unity and The Sandbox.
  • Understand design thinking and its application in XR projects.
  • Explore ethical issues related to building in XR.
  • Developing project ideas and refining them for presentations.
  • Improving pitching skills to prepare for real-world situations.
Week 3
Improving pitching skills to prepare for real-world situations.

The final week focuses on developing, finalizing, and presenting projects. Participants will work on their projects, receive guidance, and prepare for the closing ceremony and exhibition.

  • Develop and finalize metaverse projects.
  • Receive guidance and feedback on project work.
  • Prepare presentations to showcase projects.
  • Showcasing projects in the closing ceremony and exhibition.

He is the co-founder of21Verse, where he aims to create a centralized platform providing education and therapy for Down syndrome individuals through virtual reality. He is an alumni of this program, and aims to ultimately use technology to help people with disabilities.

She is the Founder and CEO of AM Creatives, a creative consultancy and social enterprise dedicated to using art, creativity, and culture to catalyze the best in humanity and make a lasting impact. She believes art has the power to change the world from the spectrum of healing to innovation.

He founded Khosouf Studio by merging his expertise in development, engineering, music, and construction management.

Currently, they are developing a variety of exciting international titles that will be available on PC, HTC, Pico, Meta Quest, and PlayStation 5 VR2.

The Sandbox
(Previous Partner):

The Sandbox is a user-generated, virtual-gaming world where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experience. In the Metaverse and Innovation Camp 2024, their partnership involved teaching students developing and monetizing their creation on their platform, and providing them with prize money.
