In partnership with Gen.G and PUBG Mobile, Week 2 of the RoboGames Academy will focus on the dynamic world of esports, providing students with globally certified training in competitive gaming and education in map building. This collaboration is the first of its kind in the Kingdom that is offered to high school students. This week will dive deep into the fundamentals of esports strategy as well as creative game design through PUBG Mobile's WOW (World of Wonder) Mode—a powerful tool that allows students to build, customize, and share their own playable maps and game modes. Participants will gain exclusive insights into the fast-paced world of professional gaming, learning from industry experts while engaging in hands-on practice with cutting-edge tools and platforms in esports. This collaboration aims to dive into various career paths in esports, fostering students’ potential to explore and excel in the rapidly evolving competitive gaming industry. RoboGames track introduces an extended edition of MobiSiTech+ and AR Games Developer tracks that were offered from 2020 to 2023 and reflected a huge success. RoboGames track introduces mobile game apps, Artificial Intelligence in games, unity games for 2d and 3d environments, 3d modeling, Games Design and Art making as well as animation and Playful Robotics development with special focus on Extended Reality (XR) in Game development in an interactive manner designed for all enthusiastic beginners and technology lovers. Students will be able to implement gaming applications that can serve in various real-life sectors (e.g., educational, business, entertainment, and gaming ...etc). Furthermore, they can see how mobile apps interact with robotics. Moreover, they will be able to dive into the entertainment world and learn how applications can be designed to reflect an exciting gaming context and how developers can program robots. Throughout the program, students will be exposed to some technical workshops and will get the chance to meet many experts in the field.

Track Objectives:
The main purpose of this track is teaching high school students the basics of programming in a fun and interactive environment to encourage them to convert any idea into real world application and serve their community using trendy technologies. During the program, the students will be trained on using many development IDEs and will be learning many languages to build games and robotic programs as well as XR applications. It’s also designed to give a realistic overview of a Software Engineer student’s life. Moreover, the students get introduced to many discussions during the course to help sharpen their knowledge of the technology sector. To achieve the success factors expected of this program, the students will be encouraged to participate in many fun in-class activities to compete and learn necessary teamwork skills.
The playful robotics aspect of the RoboGames summer program offers an immersive and interactive experience with LEGO robotics, where participants delve into the creative and playful side of robotics. Through hands-on activities and engaging challenges, students explore the fundamentals of robotics in a dynamic and enjoyable environment. This segment encourages imaginative thinking and problem-solving skills by blending learning with fun, allowing participants to design and build robots using LEGO kits, fostering their interest and expertise in robotics in a playful, experimental setting.
The program offers the first global training experience in the kingdom on esports and allows students to gain free membership in Alfaisal’s game innovation lab to grow their passion in game innovation field by being part of future impactful projects that matches their interest. It also opens up the space for them to work on activities and meet with gaming communities and participate in global annual challenges like Game Jams and Gameathon (check figure 1), minigames exhibit and robotics challenges at Alfaisal during and after the program.

Eng. Hoda Ahmed Galal Elsayed is a Software Engineering Lecturer at Alfaisal University, specialized in web, mobile, game development applications with AI, IoT, and XR. She has served as a Session Chair at HCI International and an invited speaker and panelist at the VoV and AGI Conferences, hosted by the French Embassy and at Alfaisal University under Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) patronage, respectively. As ACM and Springer-published researcher, she has contributed to VR, AI, cybersecurity, and persuasive computing, presenting at HCI International, ISHIC’17, and ICC’17 (ACM, Cambridge). She has led training programs on AR in Banking (Bank Aljazira), Storytelling & Game Design (Game Bootcamp in collaboration with Misk & DGA), and XR Bootcamp (Saudi Esports Federation). She holds certifications from IEEE for Engineering education, IBM Skills Academy’s Big Data (Hadoop) Development, IoT Cloud Development, and Data Science, as well as Oracle APEX & SQL, Google Developer Badge & Android Studio, Cisco Introduction to Cybersecurity, HarvardX Fundamentals of TinyML, and a PMP Preparation Course. She is a confounding lecturer and director of MobiSiTech+, Apps & Games Developers and RoboGames Academy programs, launched by AUEP.She serves as Game Innovation Center Director, Robogames Academy Director, IEEE Student Branch Counselor, and QA Coordinator. Her work has earned multiple awards, including 1st Place Boeing Engineering Competition, 2nd place Arabnet Ideathon, and Best Research & Poster Awards. Nicole Minkyung Choi is a seasoned esports education leader and international partnerships specialist with extensive experience across the higher education and esports sectors. She currently serves as the MENA Partnerships Lead for Gen.G Esports and Gen.G Global Academy, where she designs and leads esports education programs across the world, forging strategic collaborations with universities, government bodies, and global publishers. Nicole previously founded the Career Development Center at the State University of New York Korea and worked as an International Affairs Specialist at Korea University. In both roles, she drove key institutional initiatives that bridged global education and student opportunity. As the architect behind Saudi Arabia’s first certified Esports Business Foundation Course in collaboration with Alfaisal University, Nicole has played a pivotal role in embedding esports into academic ecosystems in the region. Her work has impacted more than 20 educational institutions across Saudi Arabia and the UAE, combining curriculum innovation, talent development, and industry engagement. Based between Seoul and Riyadh, Nicole continues to lead cross-border esports education projects, contributing to Vision 2030 by empowering the next generation through competitive gaming, career development, and future-ready skills.
