The intensive German A2 course is designed for students who already hold a basic knowledge of German and want to immerse themselves in the German language in a short, compact, and intensive period.
The course aims to conclude with the language level A2 by providing a multimodal, communicative, and interactive language course based on standardized methodological and didactic principles. In addition to the course, participants can receive tutoring from the instructor upon request and depending on their needs, as well as the opportunity to strengthen their communication skills through the weekly communication course "German Talks" - a successful format of the Alfaisal German Club.
Aligned with the CEFR, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, the course aims to raise the language skills from an A1.1 to an A2 level in a short yet intensive period. Maren-Sophie El-Tayeb is an experienced lecturer of German as a foreign language and German as a second language. With a BA in German Language and Literature and an MA in German Linguistics, both earned at the University of Hamburg, she has extensive theoretical and academic expertise in the field of linguistics. In addition, she has gained more than 14 years of teaching experience, mainly in Germany, and has also conducted countless language exams in various formats as an examiner. Since September 2022, Maren-Sophie El-Tayeb is Lecturer for German Language at Alfaisal University and coordinates the elective German courses with currently over 150 enrolled students.
